Crosby Sanctuary, owned by the Duval Audubon Society, is a limited access nature preserve nestled in suburban Orange Park along the Ortega River.  It is home to a full biodiversity of native plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.  Florida Native Plant Society and Duval Audubon Society member Pete Johnson will lead a tour of the property where you will visit its various habitats, including bottomland swamp, pine flatwoods, and live oak hammocks.  In addition to native plants, you may see deer, fox, otters, beaver/dams and numerous species of birds.  You will also see an installation plants that was funded by a grant from the Ixia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society.
